Five Indian Flavours Make It To The List Of World's 100 Most Iconic Ice Creams
3 Mumbai-based ice cream brands, 1 from Bengaluru and 1 from Mangalore have reserved their spots in the list of top 100 icecreams around the world.

Taste Atlas, an experiential foof guide, has recently listed “World's 100 most iconic ice-cream”. It comes as no surprise, that 5 brands from India have made it to the list. Known for having a knack for sweets, India is known for its diverse dessert spread. Consequentially, 3 Mumbai-based ice cream brands, 1 from Bengaluru and 1 from Mangalore have reserved their spots in the international list.
Mumbai's K Rustom tops the list
K Rustom’s, an iconic Iranian establishment in Mumbai since 1953, is renowned for its signature ice cream sandwiches. These delightful treats feature creamy scoops of ice cream, such as their popular mango flavour, neatly encased between crispy wafers. Located at 87 Stadium House, Veer Nariman Road, Churchgate, this Iranian parlour continues to be a local favourite.

Apsara Ice Creams, Mumbai
Another Mumbai gem, Apsara Ice Creams, has been serving handcrafted ice creams since 1971. Known for using seasonal fruits without artificial additives, their guava ice cream, infused with real fruit chunks and a hint of spice, stands out as a true taste of India. Apsara can be found at Subhadra Mansion, Malabar Hill.
Gadbad Ice Cream, Bengaluru
In Mangaluru, Pabba’s Ice Cream Parlour, established in 1975, delights customers with its famous "Gadbad Ice Cream." This decadent treat features three flavours, jellies, fruits, and nuts, creating a unique and indulgent experience. Visit them at the Shree Krishna Prasad Building, Lalbagh.

Naturals Ice Cream, which began in Juhu, Mumbai, has grown into a nationwide favourite. Their commitment to using fresh fruits is evident in innovative flavours like "tender coconut," which perfectly captures the essence of this tropical delight.
Death by Chocolate, Corner House, Bengaluru
Bengaluru's Corner House, founded in 1982, also secured a place with delectable with its death by chocolate ice cream. "The most iconic offering at Corner House is the Death by Chocolate, which is not so much an ice cream flavour as it is an indulgent sundae layered with cake, ice cream, chocolate sauce, nuts, and topped with a cherry. The richness and depth of chocolate used in this dessert have made it a city-wide famous,' Taste Atlas said.
