Brown rice is a whole grain similar to white rice, which has a brown coating. It is less likely to contribute to type-2 diabetes and helps in better function of digestion. With a slightly nuttier taste, this amazing whole grain is a delight for many. An individual can prepare many healthy and tasty dishes from this delicious food item. The recipes of brown rice are different and can be made easily at home by anyone. Here is the easiest recipe of brown rice for beginners.

Ingredients to prepare the delicious brown rice dish

  • 200g chopped and trimmed broccoli
  •  About six florets halved
  • 150g pack of diced big pieces of broccoli
  • 15g ginger
  • Cut into shreds
  • Two garlic cloves, cut into shreds
  • One sliced red onion
  • One roasted red pepper cut into cubes 
  • Two teaspoon olive oil
  • One teaspoon mild chilli powder
  • One teaspoon of reduced-salt soy sauce
  • One teaspoon of honey
  • 250g pack cooked brown rice

Easy recipe of brown rice: Broccolli Brown Rice

Step 1:

Pour water to boil in a medium pan and then add broccoli in it. Then boil for 4 mins. Keep olive oil in a non-stick wok to heat. Add ginger, garlic and onion to fry for two minutes. 

Step 2:

Put the mild chilli powder and stir. Then put the big pieces of broccoli and stir-fry for the mixture for at least two minutes more. Reserve the water after draining the broccoli. Mix broccoli in the wok with the honey, red pepper, soy and 4 tablespoons of the reserved water. Set it aside.

Step 3:

Cook until it is heated properly. Now, add the brown rice in the pressure cooker and then later stir and heat in a pan. Mix both while eating and enjoy the delicious food item.
