Here is a list of tips and tricks that you can follow if you are a food lover or just a photography enthusiast.

  • Lighting - Ensure that the lighting is perfect according to the vibe that you want to capture in your photo. Don’t allow the shadows to kill your vibe.
  • Choose your vibe - Do you want it to have an artistic vibe or do you want them to see in the magnified way that captures the nuances of each food item? Decide how you want your viewers to see the food and accordingly.
  • Camera angle - Use the right camera angle. The most famous shooting angle right now is the top angle as it captures all the props, textures and the whole dish perfectly in one image.

  • Colour - Keep the plating simple and white in colour when there are fewer ingredients or when the dish is simple and common to accentuate the key ingredients and its colour. Be careful in the colour coordination of the dish and its background as it is an important feature in photography.
  • Props - Use the proper props according to the item you are photographing. For example, if you are ing a pic of almond milk, show a bowl of almonds around it.
  • Image quality - Take high-quality images as it looks professional. Take inspiration from websites like Pinterest and Instagram and famous bloggers.
  • Camera functions - Know the details of your camera functions, especially if you are using DSLR mode or manual mode.
  • Photo editing software - The right photo editing software like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop or Lightroom can bring out the true colour of the image.
  • Creativity - Finally, put your own creativity into your food pics to give it a unique touch that separates it from others.
