But, one can also try making delicious jams at home. Here is a list of ingredients and steps on how to prepare strawberry jams at home-
Ingredients
- One kg of hulled strawberry
- 750 grams of jam sugar
- Juice removed from a lemon
- Small kb of butter (optional)

Step One:
Wash strawberries thoroughly. Make sure you do wash it with too much water as it will affect jam. w to hull fruit, use a knife to remove stem. Put strawberries in a bowl and gently mix with sugar. Leave m uncovered at room temperature overnight.

Step Two:
Before starting jam, put two saucers in freezer. d strawberry mixture in pan with lemon juice. Put m on low heat and cook gently. Mix entire mixture properly. Once sugar is dissolved properly, turn up heat to start bubbling and allow it to boil.

Boil hard for at least ten minutes and n turn off heat. Leave mixture for 30 secs, n touch jam. If it wrinkles and doesn’t flood to fill gap, it is rey. If t, n turn heat back on and boil for two minutes and test again. Repeat until rey.

Step Four:
w, d a kb of butter to finished jam, and stir it to melt. This helps to dissolve any remaining scum that was t removed before. Leave jam to settle for 15 minutes. Put it in to warm jars, and fill it till rim. Place a wax disc on top of jam to prevent mildew forming. w, cover with a lid. jam can be stored for up to a year in a cool, dry place.
