Idli Upma Recipe: 

If you have leftover idli in your kitchen, you can use m. Orwise, make idlis and refrigerate m for some time. Crumble refrigerated idlis. Heat oil in a pan and let it heat until cumin and mustard crackle. You can d peanuts, fry till it gets golden in colour. w d chopped onions and green chillies, a few curry leaves, and ginger. Stir m and sprinkle one-tablespoon water after onions turn slightly pale. w d crumbled idlis, grated coconut (optional), and finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix everything and cook for a while. d salt according to your taste and your idli upma is rey to serve.

Oats upma 

Roast oats in a wide pan for about five minutes and let m cool. Heat a tablespoon oil in a pan and d cumin and mustard seeds, chana and ur dal, and peanuts. Once peanuts turn golden, d hing, ginger paste, chopped chillies and curry leaves. d chopped finely chopped onions and fry m. If you want to d more veggies like carrot, beans, capsicum etc. fry it for two minutes. Sprinkle two-tablespoon water and cook for a while until all veggies are done. 
w d some salt with 1/4 teaspoon turmeric. Pour 1 cup of water (in case you are using rolled oats and if t, n 1/2). Once water starts boiling, transfer roasted oats. Gently mix m well and stir for about 1-2 minutes. Cover and cook on low flame until all moisture is evaporated. d coriander leaves and a little bit lemon juice for taste. Oats upma is rey to serve, you can also serve it with yoghurt.

Bre upma

To start preparation for bre upma, toast bre until crisp in a pan. Fry some cashew or peanuts too in same pan till y turn golden. Keep m aside with slices of bre. w saute ur dal until it turns lightly golden with mustard seeds. d chopped green chillies and curry leaves. Sprinkle hing and d ginger paste, once y turn crisp. w d finely chopped tomatoes with salt and turmeric. Saute chilli powder and sugar for about two minutes after tomatoes turn soft and mushy. Pour a cup of water and mix. Once mixture turns thick, check spice and salt and d more according to your taste. d bre cubes, and cashew or peanuts. Mix m gently and sprinkle coriander leaves. Serve it hot for best taste.
