Indian chef Vikas Khanna has carved a teworthy niche for himself in culinary industry. He has me nation proud many times through his table contributions. chef has appeared as a judge on Indian cooking reality show, Masterchef. He is also a prominent author. Reportedly Vikas has written around 28 books on cooking including a children's book titled as, A Tree Named Ganga. But we also have many or reasons to be proud of Vikas Khanna as chef has also represented nation at an international level.

Achieving Michelin Star

Vikas Khanna established his very first restaurant, Juon in New York on December 2, 2010. restaurant also good positive reviews especially by New York Times' Sam Sifton. Vikas's restaurant also received its first Michelin star which was a huge hour. Vikas Khanna's restaurant Juon was one of first Indian restaurants in New York to be awarded a star by prestigious Michelin Guide. 

Working with Gordon Ramsay

Vikas Khanna first got opportunity to meet rewned international chef Gordon Ramsay in year 2007. Ramsay started including Vikas on his television shows as a representative of Indian cuisines. Vikas also appeared in one of episodes of show, Kitchen Nightmares Season One as a mentor. He also graced show, Hell's Kitchen Season Six which was run by Gordon Ramsay.

Cooking for former President Obama and his family

In what can be termed as a great hour, Vikas Khanna got opportunity to cook for former President Barrack Obama and his family at White House. chef got this hourable opportunity twice. Reportedly, Vikas prepared a sattvik meal for President and his family in year 2010. He went on to prepare a Himalayan meal for Obamas once again in year 2014. Vikas Khanna was invited to White House on many occasions during Barrack Obama's presidential term.
