This is often most overlooked aspect on way to detox body. Before diving into diets and foods, get yourself a good night's sleep. It was a tiring week and your body deserves much-needed rest. Take it slow. Be at peace with yourself. Detox begins with mind. So, clear out those negative thoughts first and let positivity flow in.

Drink a glass of water first thing in morning. Avoid very cold water as it imbalances fluids in your body and extinguishes digestive fire. Warm or room temperature water is best, which helps in flushing out toxins from body and cleanses your digestive tract. You can even store water overnight in a copper or a silver vessel and drink that in morning. Copper and silver have ability to balance all three doshas (vatta, pitta and kapha) by positively charging water. It also has numerous anti-oxidants, anti-bacterial and anti-cancer properties. Make it a regular habit and your body would surely thank you later!

Your body needs a healthy start, so give it that energy by eating a nutritious breakfast. Your breakfast should majorly consist of protein, some healthy fats and a small amount of carbs. Protein keeps you full for a longer time and provides you with much-needed energy to go through day. Combine legumes (beans, lentils, and peanuts) with grains (wheat, rice, and corn) to get a filling breakfast. Take some freshly squeezed juice along. An excellent source of protein is eggs, yoghurt or even cott cheese (paneer).

Opt for a warm, herbal tea (without milk and sugar) like green tea, chamomile tea or just warm water with freshly squeezed lemon, preferably two hours after your meal. It would help with digestion and accelerate your metabolism. Along with its many antioxidant properties, se are a perfect way to cleanse your gut and relax your body. Do t ever consume m on an empty stomach else you are sure to get light-heed and nauseous.

Combine bananas with or fruits, d some milk or yoghurt for consistency and almonds for a bit of protein, blitz it all up and sprinkle some chia or flax seeds on it. It is as easy as that. re are many or recipes available around. Here's a quick recipe for a Green Banana Smoothie: Blend toger a cup of spinach, a ripe banana (preferably frozen), a handful of almonds, a little milk (to check with consistency) and some flax seeds and enjoy it right away. Filling, tasty, nutritious and it helps with moving trash out of your body.
6. Snack Healthy

Come evening and stomach starts to rumble again. Stop yourself from gorging on that tempting va-pav or a samosa. Choose healthier snacks like a handful of dried fruits, some homeme grala or some fruits. Apples and Peanut butter is a conventional snack-match. You can also go for Yoghurt and fresh berries. Natural Greek Yoghurt with green apple or mangoes tastes heavenly. Have some dark chocolate and almonds. Ar option is carrots or cucumber with hummus. Avoid artificially flavoured products or packed products.
7. End on a Lighter te

Avoid heavy, loed meals in evening. Opt inste for a bowl full of veggies with some dressing and a portion of bre by its side preferably two to three hours before retiring to bed. You can even a chapati roll with all sal inside. End your day on a lighter te by going on a stroll. You can also sip on some cinnamon tea right before bed. Do t use your cell phone as blue light can hinder with sleep cycle.
8. Go for a Walk

All said and done, your body needs to burn energy from all that food. Walks are an excellent way to keep body moving. best is going for a morning walk which gives you a gush of freshness. Walking makes food to digest quickly and this, in turn, pushes it out of your body more effectively. A lighter tummy is main motive of detox, right?

At end of day, what matters is choices that you make. detox can work if you choose orwise. It is okay to lapse sometimes. It is okay to eat t-so-healthy food once in a while and indulge yourself. But it is t okay to make that a regular habit. It is t okay to t take care of your body. You need this body till time you die. So, make right choice and avoid trap.
