Smoothies are always a healthy choice of food to consume. They always make out to be the best pre-workout and post-workout drink. Smoothies can be easily made with the simplest of recipes found in one’s own kitchen. All one has to do is take a few fruits and veggies, add a few other ingredients, blend it all together and the smoothie is all ready to be enjoyed. Here are a few simple smoothie recipes to try at home.
Strawberry – Banana smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup of strawberries
1 frozen banana (if desired, you can swap this for 1/2 cup of frozen cauliflower florets)
1/2 cup of yogurt
1/2 cup milk of choice
2–3 tablespoons Nut butter
How to make:
Step 1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend.
Step 2. Serve with ice and sliced strawberry toppings.
Chocolate Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup Coconut Milk
1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
1/2 cup Blueberries
1 cup Spinach
1 Banana
1 Tablespoon Almond Butter
How to make:
Step 1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend.
Step 2. Serve with ice and feel free to add chocolate syrup for garnishing.
Blackberry Kombucha Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups of kombucha, a simple ginger kombucha or a lemon raspberry flavored one is preferred.
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 cup of frozen blackberries or blueberries
1/2 frozen banana, can use a whole banana to make the smoothie a bit larger/ more filling
1 cup of mango chunks, fresh or frozen
3 tablespoons of agave or maple syrup
How to make:
Step 1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend.
Step 2. Serve with ice
