Rajasthan is all set to host Kumbhalgarh Festival from December 1 to December 3 for year 2019, jointly organised by Rajasthan Tourism and District ministration of Rajsamand. fest commemorates Maharana Kumbha’s contribution toward art and culture at historic fort of Kumbhalgarh, located at Aravalli Hills, 84 km rth to Udaipur. Many activities and cultural programmes are organised to entertain people visiting fest. cultural festival has been organised for more than a dece annually.

festival is divided into two sections- day and night. In daytime, re are exhibitions by locals where y display regional ethnic wear, jewellery, handicrafts, souvenirs, etc. In evening it is full of sound, vibrant and colourful light with dance and music performances by finest artists across India. A few competitions among locals and foreigners are also conducted such as Pagi Bandho (Tying turban), Mehendi Mandana (henna applying), Tug of war, musical chair etc. Visitors also witness historical and popular puppet show organised every year.

During festival, venue Kumbhalgarh Fort turns into a majestic sight with decorations and lightings. 3-day festival brings art and culture of or states toger and hosts competitions to bring out enthusiasm among visitors. Kalbeliyas, Langas, Terahtaali, Kachi Ghodi and Odissi dancers enthral audience with ir performances. fest is also looked upon as an opportunity for foreign tourists to get taste of Rajasthan. History of Kumbhalgarh
fort is popular as a World Herit Site, constructed and expanded in course of 15-19th century by Rana Kumbha. Kumbhalgarh is also birthplace of Maharana Pratap, great king and warrior of Mewar. mighty fort, believed to be built by Rana Kumbha in 15th century, is also marked as second largest wall after Great Wall of China.
