National Law Day 2020, also kwn as Constitution Day of India is celebrated on vember 26 every year. It is called Samvidhan Diwas in Hindi and is celebrated to commemorate option of Constitution in India, in year 1949. On this day in 1949, Constituent Assembly of India formally opted Constitution of India that came into force on January 26, 1950. According to a report by Firstpost, National Law Day commemorates pledge of Purna Swaraj, passed in Lahore session of Congress in 1930.
Constitution Day is celebrated to pay tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar, man behind drafting of Indian Constitution. It is said that two months between option and enforcement of Constitution was used for reing and translation of document from English to Hindi.
