Prosh Vrat is observed twice a month for every Trayodashi, i.e. Shukla Paksha Trayodashi and Krishna Trayodashi Paksha. According to reports, re are different legends associated with Prosh Vrat. One of commonly kwn legends states that Prosh Vrat is performed on day that Lord Shiva relieved Devas and ors from wrath of demons.
