Thanksgiving is a festival celebrated in US, Canada, some of Caribbean islands, and Liberia. roots of this festival go back a long time in history. It was celebrated as a day when crops are ready to be harvested and some of it is sacrificed as for harvest of next year. se kinds of holidays are celebrated all over world, but in USA, it was reportedly started by George Washington after a request by Congress to unify whole county. It is celebrated on fourth Thursday of vember every year. re are similar festivals with different names in different regions of world.

In Kerala, y host boat racing competitions that are viewed as biggest event of Pongal season. Or than this, ox races and Kalaripayattu competitions are also held.
