Bhutan is a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge which is popularly known for its monasteries, fortresses and breathtaking landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. It is one of the world's greenest countries and is the only carbon-negative country on the planet. The country attracts many tourists from all over the globe in order to experience the calm and peaceful life the citizens are living. The country is very well organised and is famous for its scenic beauty on the hilly roads. Here's a list of some places to visit while you are in Bhutan.

Paro

Paro has the only international airport in Bhutan, so you might surely be there if you have not taken the road to the country by India or Nepal. The place is famous for the National Museum, The Paro Dzong and The Drukgyel Dzong. Paro is a great city to explore besides being an important travel hub for Bhutan.

Thimphu 

Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan and there are many amazing spots and places to visit in the city. Thimphu is usually the second stop in a tourist itinerary. There are some great restaurants and clubs in the city where one can easily enjoy. The Dechen Phrodrag Monastry and Buddha Dordenma are also two popular attractions in this city. 'Simply Bhutan' and 'Season's Restaurant' are two authentic and popular restaurants in the city.

Punakha
