75 feet tall representations of the devils Ravana, Kumbhakarana and Meghnad are ignited on Dussehra day to symbolize the triumph of good over evil. Typically, these figures are loaded with crackers to add more effect to the ignition. A person dressed as Lord Ram is made to shoot a bolt of flame at Ravana and the gigantic figure thus gets burnt in flames. Villagers assemble here wearing multi-shaded garments to offer supplications to Lord Rama and to commend his triumph over Ravana.
