Colours for Navratri 2019

Day 1

first day of Navratri will start from Shailputra Pooja. Goddess Shailputra is considered as an incarnation of 'Maa Parvati'. vibrant orange colour will be colour of day.   colour orange represents energy and happiness. Start festival with orange and set your energy high for Garba/Dandiya Raas.

second day is significant for worshipping ar incarnation of Parvati, Goddess Brahamcharini. This epitome is table for harmony and moksha. colour for second day is white. white colour stands for peace and purity.

sixth day of Navratri is celebrated for houring Katyayani. She is an incarnation of 'Maa Durga' and kwn for her cour. colour chosen for day is Green. Colour Green signifies new beginnings and growth.

Day 7 

Kalaratri, most violent form of Maa Durga is revered for Saptami, or day 7 of Navratri. colour for this day is Grey.  colour stands for strength of transforming.

Day 8

Asthami is held for Mahaguari Pooja. It is believed that Mahaguari blesses devotees with intelligence and peace. colour for this day is purple.   colour signifies calm and peace.

Day 9

Maa Siddhidatri is worshipped on last day of Navratri, that is Navami. Maa Siddhidatri is believed to have all Siddhi carrying on her four hands. colour for this day is Peacock Green. Several rituals associated with Navratri are performed on last day.

festival comes to an end on Vijayashami or Dusshera,  tenth day of festival. Vijayashami represents victory of good over evil. stories of Vijayashmi differs from region to region. People residing in Sourn, Eastern and rth-eastern part of India mark this day to celebrate victory of Maa Durga. However, in rrn and Western states of India, day is celebrated to mark supremacy of Lord Rama over evil Raavana.
