1. Padum, Jammu and Kashmir
Located in the Zanskar Valley of India, this beautiful destination is one of the most unexplored destinations in Ladakh. It is covered in snow for most of the year. Hence, it is only accessible to tourists during summer and that too on foot. But once you reach the destination, it all seems worth it.
2. Kurseong, West Bengal
You must visit Kurseong in West Bengal for your next vacation. The picturesque hill station will take your heart away. What makes it even more special is that it is untouched by commercial tourism which makes it far less crowded. The British colonial structures, beautiful tea gardens and vast orchid meadows will make you want to settle in Kurseong.
3. Orchha, Madhya Pradesh
If you love history, then you have to head to Orchha in Madhya Pradesh right away. The small city served as the capital of the Bundela Rajputs in the 16th century. It is full of magnificent architectures inspired by them. The grand palace, exquisite temples and elegant cenotaphs embellished with colourful murals are all witnesses of its glorious era.
4. Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu
At first sight, Kumbakonam seems like a religious sanctuary. The quaint town is filled with ancient temples adorned with elaborate and exquisite carvings. The town is nestled between the two rivers, Cauvery River and Arasalar River.
5. Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh
You might have probably never heard of this place and even if you have, you might have never thought of it as a holiday destination. It is a jewel amidst the wilderness. The mountains and valleys covered in trees make the place look like its covered with a green carpet. You can also visit the various waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries and zoos here.
