In layman’s terms, Abrosexual is a sexual orientation where a person’s sexual identity keeps changing over time. It is a kind of sexuality that fluctuates between different sexualities. Simply put, an individual who experiences shifts in their romantic or sexual orientation over time could identify themselves as abrosexual or sexual fluidity.

Healthline, an American health information provider explains, “Someone who’s abrosexual finds that their sexual attraction shifts often: they might identify with the term ‘gay,’ and later feel attracted to people of all genders, and then feel little to no sexual attraction at all.”

“Abrosexual is one of more than 100 terms used to label different sexualities. It falls under the multi-sexuality umbrella, which includes people of all identities who are romantically or sexually attracted to more than one gender,” states WebMD, an American human health and well-being publisher.

Additionally, millennials contribute to the number of individuals who identify with sexual fluidity.

How abrosexuality can look?

Here are some examples of how abrosexuality can look as per Healthline:

  • You might feel attracted to men and only men on one day, and then to women and only women the next day.
  • You might feel attracted to people of all genders, and after a few weeks, feel that you’re only attracted to people of one specific gender.
  • You might find yourself experiencing little to no sexual attraction, and months later, notice that you’re starting to feel sexual attraction for people of all gender identities.
  • You might be a man who is heterosexual, but after a few years, find that you are starting to feel sexual attraction for men.

The American health information provider reiterates, “again, there’s no “right way” to be abrosexual.”
