Speaking to Republic, Vinoj P Selvam, State Secretary of Tamil Nu BJP, stated, “This is a gross violation of Article 32 of Indian Constitution by Tamil Nu government. It is grave injustice being done to people who want to pray to Lord Ram and witness historic moment unfolding in Ayodhya at least by watching holy event.”

“ state government has just gone against sentiments of Hindus, who are a majority in state. When many states in country have even declared holiday, even if DMK government is unable to do such a deed, at least y could have refrained from verbally banning live telecasts and Anna Dhanams arranged during time of consecration,” he ded.
