Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat's car on Tuesday night collided with a divider while he was traveling from Haldwani to Udham Singh Nagar's Kashipur. Informing about the same, the Congress leader said that he was a little shaken after the incident and went to a hospital for a medical check-up.

“While coming from Haldwani to Kashipur, my car collided with a divider at Bazpur and I felt some mild tremors (sic), so I got it checked in the hospital and the doctors said everything was fine and discharged me,” Rawat said in a post on X.

“Some friends have posted about the incident on social media which may raise concerns among few. There is nothing be worried about. I am absolutely fine and so are my colleagues,” he added in another post.

According to various media reports, the accident took place in the late hours of Tuesday. Rawat sustained injuries while his driver narrowly escaped. He was taken to the hospital after he complained of pain in the chest.
