CJI further said, “As he is the youngest member of the house, his apology is to be considered sympathetically.”

Advocate Sadan Farasat, who appeared for Chadha, informed the court that he is the youngest member of the house of elders. “Of course, he doesn't mind tendering an apology. Even in his letter to the Privileges Committee, I had tendered a personal apology to the Chairperson,” Farasat said.
Chadha was suspended during the Monsoon Session of Parliament from Rajya Sabha over the allegations of not seeking permission from some MPs before deciding to include them in a proposed select committee to examine the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023.
