Republic Summit: Anurag Thakur criticises BBC; terms firm 'Bhrashtachar Bachao Andolan'
During the Summit, Union Min for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur slammed BBC & called it 'Bhrashtachar Bachao Andolan'.

While dressing third edition of Republic Summit 2023, Union Minister for Information and Brocasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur called BBC 'Bhrashtachar Bachao Andolan'. On being asked about Western media and controversies related to m, Anurag Thakur said, "In a lot of areas, India can become a leer, and channels like Republic Media and or Indian media channels have potential to become international players and I am sure y will be in coming years but at same time when we look at se foreign channels or newspapers. y have a biased approach towards India, most unfortunate parties that are writing in those newspapers."
He ded, "It is some of those people living here kwing very well what is truth but despite that y are biased. But y can't weaken us by staying here or writing in foreign newspapers. y consider power of 140 crore people to be weak."

BBC mits to violating FDI rules
Anurag Thakur at Republic Summit 2023 said that British Brocasting Corporation (BCC) has mitted to violating FDI rules in a written reply. He also called BBC 'Brashtachar Bachao Campaign'. Anurag on OTT Content
Anurag also spoke about OTT (Over Top) content in India and said, " media is regulated. OTT was also regulated. But even n, kind of content that can't be shown on television is shown on OTT problems. In coming week, we are calling all stakeholders and will brief m about what's wrong with some of content and where have y crossed ir lines. In name of content, one can't sell obscenity."
