Elon Musk’s private Aero company X was able to successfully catch its Falcon 9 rocket head in centre of Atlantic ocean using a large stretched out net which was laid out on top of a moving ship. rocket was equipped with a big parachute which was used to slow landing. Elon Musk also shared a short video of landing on his Twitter handle after successful Starlink launch mission which took place earlier this week.

X recovers Falcon 9 rocket

Falcon 9 rocket was launched by X as part of company's eleventh Starlink mission on Tuesday, August 18, at 10:31 AM EDT from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. Falcon 9 rocket carried 58 new Starlink satellites into Earth's orbit along with three SkySats from Planet Labs.

X was able to successfully recover its rocket for third time in a month which is a major feat for Aero company. As for Starlink project, company had already launched a total of 597 Starlink broadband satellites into as of August 7, 2020, before latest batch of 58 new satellites.
