Elon Musk's startup Neuralink demonstrates computer implants in a pig's brain

Elon Musk-owned neurotechlogy company Neuralink Corporation streamed an event on Friday via its YouTube channel where it showcased company’s new Neuralink device that can help establish a connection between brains and techlogy devices using artificial intelligence. To demonstrate company’s wireless techlogy, Elon Musk implanted techlogy device into a pig’s brain, where device would help track changes in animal’s nerve activity in sut using AI.

Musk revealed that pig named Gertrude has had implant for two months at time of showcase. demonstration was also aimed at attracting more professionals to join techlogy company and work across functions like robotics and software and more. Elon Musk revealed that y currently have a team of around 100 people working on project and that y wish to expand ir manpower to over 10,000 as y advance. company has also raised funding of well over $150 million as it looks to expand.

What Neuralink plans to accomplish with new techlogy?

device is expected to help create a link with human brains using AI. wireless techlogy is still in its testing phase and it ultimately aims to help those suffering from major neurological disorders. device also aims at restoring eyesight of blind to rehabilitating  paralysed. In addition, Elon Musk also claimed that people will be able to store ir memories like we w do on stor devices and replay m in future. He furr went on to mention that se data could be potentially downloaded into a human body or into a robot.

However, as mentioned earlier, techlogy is still in a testing phase and that clinical trials are yet to be conducted. It is also worth ting that re isn’t any scientific evidence to back claims surrounding  device as of yet.

During  Neuralink presentation, Elon Musk also revealed that company has simplified device and also reduced its dimensions to bring it down to size of a large coin and also reduced its thickness.
