Asteroid 2020 OY4 becomes 3rd closest to fly by Earth this year on July 28; Read details

According to reports of a space portal, Asteroid 2020 OY4 was first observed at Mt. Lemmon Survey on July 26, 2020. This means that it was spotted when it h alrey come freakishly close to Earth. 2020 OY4 was seen at just two days ahe of its closest approach to Earth.

NASA reports suggest that space rock belonged to Apollo group of asteroids, which means that it h an estimated diameter between 2.3 and 5.2 m, in feet it is approximately 7.5 - 17 feet. NASA Reports also claimed that Near-Earth Object flew by us at a speed of 12.38 km/s relative to Earth on July 28.
