Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla has taken first major step toward his historic spaceflight as part of Axiom Space Ax-4 mission. Indian Air Force officer recently got his first experience inside SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft, marking a significant moment in his journey to space.

Nasa astronaut Peggy Whitson, who is leing Ax-4 crew, provided an update, stating that four-member team h visited SpaceX hequarters for critical suit measurements and pressurization tests, key procedures in ensuring safety and comfort of astronauts during ir mission.

Training officially begins

According to Whitson, training for Ax-4 mission has officially commenced, with crew completing ir onboarding process in Houston. She mentioned that crew was feeling "right at home" as y prepared for mission that will take m to International Space Station (ISS).

As part of ir training, Group Captain Shukla and his fellow crew members visited SpaceX's state-of--art facility to get fitted for ir space suits and undergo pressurization tests. se steps are essential for crew’s preparation, ensuring that astronauts are fully equipped for challenging environment of space.

First look at dragon spacecraft

During ir visit, crew was also introduced to Dragon spacecraft, SpaceX’s cutting-edge vehicle that has become central to both cargo and crew missions to ISS. This spacecraft will carry Shukla and his fellow astronauts to ISS, where y are expected to spend about 10 days conducting scientific experiments and research in microgravity environment.
