ISRO signs MoU with premier technical institute in Odisha to promote space research

Indian Research Organisation (ISRO) and Veer Surendra Sai University of Techlogy (VSSUT), Burla, signed an MoU on Tuesday for setting up an invation-cum-incubation centre at technical institute to promote kwledge about research among students.
As part of agreement, ISRO will offer technical consultancy support and financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to VSSUT for development of infrastructure, a spokesperson of university said in a statement.

MoU was signed, through a video conference, in presence of ISRO chairman K Sivan and VSSUT vice-chancellor Atal Chaudhuri.

ISRO chairman expressed hope that proposed VSSUT Invation Centre (VSSSIC) will promote kwledge about research among students.

ting that students will be more interested in research and application in future, ISRO chairman said, it will be a game changer for country as more research is required for development of sub system and propulsion system.
ISRO will facilitate limited utilisation of rocket launching facilities like Thumba, Sriharikota or Balasore (under DRDO), where all kinds of safety systems are available, for launch of future sounding rockets developed at Invation Centre at VSSUT, university spokesperson said.

On its part, VSSSIC will explore latest global trend in techlogy and take up related projects which will benefit country.
