With yet ar stunning portrait of cosmic phemena, NASA celebrated 30th launch anniversary of it's prized Hubble Telescope by unveiling an iconic new im a firestorm of star birth in a neighboring galaxy.

In latest Hubble im shared by NASA, giant red nebula (NGC 2014) and its smaller blue neighbor (NGC 2020) are part of a vast star-forming region in Large Mllanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of Milky Way, located about 163,000 light-years away.  im has been nicknamed 'Cosmic Reef' owing to its resemblance to undersea world.

Hubble's long haul

On 24 April 1990, NASA shot giant telescope into Earth's orbit from it's Kennedy Center in Florida. Hubble was carried aloft on Discovery shuttle with a five-astronaut crew. highly advanced telescope has revolutionised our understanding of and modern astromy with over 1.4 million observations to date and its iconic ims continue to redefine our view of universe and our place in time and .

Unhindered by Earth's blurring atmosphere, Hubble telescope captures cosmic underpinnings with crystal-clear sharpness across a broad range of wavelengths - from ultraviolet to near infrared light.

As recorded by NASA, giant telescope's top accomplishments include measuring rate of expansion and acceleration of universe, establishing that black holes are common phemena across galaxies, monitoring wear patterns of planets in solar system, and looking back in time across 97% of universe to chronicle birth and evolution of stars and galaxies.
