In a press te, US ncy explained that ‘Sonification’ is process that translates data into sound, and recent project brings centre of Milky Way to listeners for first time.

In post, translation begins on left side of im and moves to right, with sounds representing position and brightness of sources. NASA said that light of objects located towards top of im are heard as higher pitches while intensity of light controls volume. stars and compact sources are concerted to individual tes while extended clouds of gas and dust produce an ‘evolving drone’.
