NASA walk: NASA live stream of walk

NASA live stream of July 16 walk has alrey begun. NASA walk has started at approximately 7:35 a.m. EDT, which is 4:35 a.m. PT, and 5:05 p.m. IST. Minutes before walk,  crew was seen in airlock and were suited up. Astronauts have w exited airlock of ISS and begin today’s activities. goal of this NASA walk is to work on one of two power channels on far starboard truss also kwn as S6 Truss of station.

International Station July 16, 2020: NASA walk

Today’s NASA walk to be undertaken by astronauts Behnken and Cassidy will be mirroring work y completed in ir first walk on June 26, 2020. According to NASA’s official website,  primary tasks for crew will be to remove five of six older nickel-hydrogen batteries for truss’ power system. And in place of se old batteries, three new lithium-ion batteries will be placed.

se lithium-ion batteries store electricity for one pair of station’s solar arrays. During NASA walk, astronauts will be installing two of three apter plates to complete circuit to new batteries. y will also be relocating nickel-hydrogen batteries for stor and for future disposal. Leing this tedious mission today is NASA's Flight Director Allison Bolinger in NASA. She will be supported by ar NASA official Sandy Moore as le walk officer. Astronauts Chris Cassidy and Robert Behnken are scheduled to conduct ar NASA walk on Tuesday, July 21. July 21 walk will mark end of a 3.5-year effort to upgre International Station’s power system.
