NASA astronauts Robert Behnken, Chris Cassidy to carry out spacewalks outside ISS

NASA's astronaut Chris Cassidy and Robert Behnken are all set to go outside International Station on Friday, June 26, 2020, and on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. astronauts will be heing out of International Station for walks in order to begin replacement of batteries of one of power channels which is currently orbiting laboratory. NASA's official television and website will be brocasting live as Robert Behnken and Chris Cassidy he to walk outside ISS. NASA's official website also suggests that a news briefing discussing walk will also be held.

NASA astronauts to he out for a walk
NASA has issued a public statement regarding walks which will include Bob Behnken and Chris Cassidy. official statement res that briefing for walk will be taking place at 2 PM EDT on June 24 at NASA's Johnson Centre through a virtual event. Those joining briefing event for walks can use #AskNASA to clear any queries about walks. Whereas, cover of walks will kick off at 6 AM EDT, during day of each walk. whereas, walking activity will begin around 7:35 EDT, and shall last as long as seven hours.

Chris Cassidy is commander of Expedition 63, whereas Bob Behnken joined International Station o May 31, 2020, after arriving aboard X's Crew Dragon shuttle along with NASA's Douglas Hurley. Both Cassidy and Behnlen will depart Quest airlock for both scheduled walks. briefing scheduled before walks will also update about Crew Dragon's mission to orbital outpost.

During walks, astronauts will be replacing washing nickel-hydrogen batteries for one of two power channels on S6 Truss of ISS. nickel batteries will be replaced with newer lithium-ion based batteries which arrived at International Station last month, as revealed by NASA. Chris Cassidy will be extravehicular crew member 1 for both walks, he will be wearing a suit with a red stripe on it. Whereas, Bob Behnken will be crew member 2 for walks wearing a suit with stripes on it.
