National Aeronautics ncy (NASA) on July 30 informed that Mars 2020, ship carrying Perseverance rover is back online after facing some technical difficulties. According to Matt Wallace, mission’s deputy project manr, team controlling Mars 2020 has received telemetry (detailed craft data) down from craft and has also been able to send commands up to craft. team based at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Sourn California said that Mars 2020 is healthy and on its way to Red Planet.

As per NASA, Mars 2020 experienced two issues during launch operations, first, proximity of craft to Earth immediately after launch was saturating ground station receivers of NASA’s Deep Network. " Perseverance team worked through prepared mitigation strategies that included detuning receivers and pointing antennas slightly off-target from craft to bring signal within an acceptable range," NASA said. This is t first time that ncy has faced an issue like this one as in 2011 during launch of Curiosity rover it experienced a similar problem.

" second issue was a transient event involving temperature on craft. mission uses a liquid freon loop to bring heat from center of craft to radiators on cruise st ( part that helps fly rover to Mars), which has a view to . As craft entered into Earth’s shadow, Sun was temporarily blocked by Earth, and outlet temperature dropped. This caused difference between warm inlet and cooler outlet to increase. This transient differential tripped an alarm and caused craft to transition into standby mode kwn as 'safe mode'," said NASA.
Perseverance lifted off aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V 541 rocket from Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on July 30. It is expected to land on Mars on February 18 next year, where it will touch down on surface of Jezero Crater. Perseverance rover will spend at least one Martian year, or approximately two Earth years, exploring landing site region on Red Planet.
