Hyderab-based Skyroot Aero is prepping to test-launch its 'Vikram' series of rockets to send satellites into by mid-2021.
Skyroot Aero is hoping for Activities Bill-2017 to get passed, which is under discussion at cabinet level. Once bill is passed, it would enable and regulate activities by n-government entities, private players.

Former ISRO scientists Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka are in process of raising second round of funding from investors. early-st funding was done by entrepreneurs Mukesh Bansal and Ankit Nagori.
Referring to market reports, Naga Bharath, company’s co-founder and chief operating officer said vehicle launch market is anticipated to see exponential growth in future and more than 7,000 satellites are expected to be launched in next ten years.

"We will be one of Indias first private launch vehicle (rocket)-makers. re is an upsurge in launching small satellites globally. current capacity of launch vehicle is t sufficient to meet demand as in next 10 years, around 7,000 small satellites (less than 1,000 kg) are to be launched,” Naga Bharath said.
"We have been following international market trends. re is a need for multiple launch providers around world. re are or private launch vehicle developers in or countries," he ded.
Continuing furr, Naga said India has a good ecosystem in terms of satellite- launching and company is looking to make use of ecosystem. However, he did t disclose investments.

"Post-design to manufacture solid st proto propulsion system and test, we need furr investments,” Naga said.
Modern-day techlogy and applications enable national development and governance and introduction of a -specific legal regime should enable furr growth of activities in India.

According to draft Activities Bill, Indian needs to facilitate private sector participation in activities and authorisation and supervision by government.
