When does Solar Eclipse occur?
A solar eclipse- occurs at time when Moon comes in between earth and sun. It obstructs rays of Sun from reaching Earth. Thus, when eclipse occurs, Earth goes dark for that time. However, as Moon is smaller in size than Sun, it forms a ring of light when it comes in front of Moon - depending on extent of solar eclipse which is generally depending on where one watches it from.
