Soyuz rocket launch today: Soyuz set to launch with FalconEye 2 satellite

Ariane is rey to launch its Soyuz rocket from its Guiana Center in French Guiana for United Arab Emirates. launch vehicle will lift off with European-built military Falcon Eye 2 satellite which weighs around 2,623-pounds. satellite will be carried inside  13.4-foot-diameter se cone of Soyuz-2, which is a modern version of Soyuz. Rocket launch today

 Ariane Soyuz rocket is scheduled to take off from  Guiana Center on December 2 at 8:33 PM EST, reported flight w. launch mission was originally set to take place earlier this year in March, however, it h to be delayed after rocket was faced with some issues with Fregat booster. huge delay was also as a result of a temporary closure of Kourou port due to COVID-19 pandemic.

After incident, launch was moved to vember 29, 2020, but it was delayed by a day due to b wear conditions. On vember 30, lift-off was rescheduled to December 2 due to issues with data-reception.

This will be third Soyuz flight of year for  satellite launch company, which operates an entire family of launchers. This will also be its eighth major launch of 2020. It is also worth pointing out that Ariane will have launched its 98th Earth observation satellite with a successful launch of FalconEye.

Soyuz series is a successor of  Voskhod rocket. Soyuz succeeded Voskhod craft and was originally built as part of Soviet crew's lunar programs. Soyuz succeeded Voskhod craft and was developed as part of Soviet crewed lunar projects. Soyuz craft series was designed by Korolev Design Bureau during 1960s for Soviet program.
