This week’s AEW Dynamite ended with a bang as Jon Moxley made his in-ring debut on TNT, and faced ‘The Chairman’ Shawn Spears in the event. Fans saw AEW world champion Chris Jericho coming to the ring and delivering an excellent speech, before going to fight Dustin Rhodes and Hangman Page in the main event of Dynamite with Sammy Guevara. Riho and Britt Baker also faced Emi Sakura and Bea Priestley in a tag team match, which showcased some character-defining moments. Apart from that, this week’s AEW consisted of some epic matches and segments which may help the wrestling show to grow even bigger.
AEW: Jon Moxley vs Shawn Spears
Jon Moxley made his TNT debut opposite Shawn Spears who was accompanied by Tully Blanchard. Moxley took control of the match early on and started punishing Spears both inside and outside of the ring. Spears however then took control of the match by throwing Moxley into the ring steps. Spears then delivered some chops and a tope suicida to the debutant. Moxley fought back and even serviced a near-fall. Moxley then gained some momentum and finished the game by delivering a Paradigm Shift. After the match, Kenny Omega entered the ring and with weapons in hand. As Omega was about to charge to Moxley, Pac came from behind and attacked Omega with a steel chair.
AEW: Dustin Rhodes and Hangman Page vs Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho
Last week when everything broke loose in the main event, Page was nowhere to be found and he has no excuse for why he didn’t come out to help his partner. But Dustin was right there to help his brother and The Bucks. This week Dustin came to the ring with vengeance in his mind and unloaded on both Jericho and Guevara after the match started. Page then came in and continued the punishment by suplexing Jericho and later Guevara. A little distraction from Jericho allowed, Guevara, to take control and drop Page on top of the turnbuckle. In the later part of the match, Rhodes took over the match after delivering a series of clothesline to his opponent. He then went on to pin Jericho but Hanger interfered the match by knocking Rhodes while Guevara distracted the referee. Jericho then delivered a Judas Effect and won the match.
