Kenny Omega is not the only AEW star to be advised rest by the doctors. Cody Rhodes was also not medically cleared by his doctors to fight in the ring following injuries he sustained in a match against Chris Jericho. Cody received eight stitches after busting his head against the ramp. Cody suffered the injury to his forehead after he dived out to the metal ramp that was connected to the ring. He missed Jericho and landed face down, resulting in a nasty cut above his right eye. The injury nearly stopped the match. Cody also suffered bruised ribs, taking him out of action for a few weeks.
