MLB officials have handed down punishments to Houston Astros after thorough investigations. Former pitcher Mike Fiers revealed that Houston Astros used electronic equipment to steal pitching signs during ir 2017 Championship season and MLB handed down subsequent punishments for same. Astros owner Jim Crane this week sacked General Manr Jeff Luhw and Manr AJ Finch for ir alleged involvement in sign-stealing scandal.

Both Jeff Luhw and AJ Hinch have pleed incence and have released statements after being sacked by Houston Astros. Houston Chronicle’s Chandler Rome shared former Astros GM’s statement on Twitter where beleaguered coach pleed his incence. Luhw said that he is t a cheater and his colleagues can attest to integrity. Jeff Luhw furr said that he was t aware of any broken rules. AJ Hinch also released a statement in which former manr said that he did t endorse or participate in stealing practices, while apologised for failing to put a stop on it.

ESPN's Jeff Passan stated that Jeff Luhw and AJ Hinch were both suspended for one year as part of punishments imposed on Astros for ir sign-stealing scandal. Former pitcher Mike Fiers along with three or members from 2017 Astros’ side revealed that club used a camera positioned in outfield to facilitate real-time sign-stealing.

Astros sign-stealing: Cora culprit?
Soon after Houston Astros were accused of sign-stealing, ir successors to World Series title, Boston Red Sox were accused of using video replay room to relay signs to players in regular season. Luhw’s statement also includes a part where former Astros GM says that video decoding of signs originated and was executed by lower-level employees working with bench coach. bench coach in question is Alex Cora, who is currently general manr of Red Sox. Passan has reported that Cora is set to receive a far harsher punishment than ones Luhw and Hinch received.
