'I became emotional': PM Modi Writes Wholesome Letter to Neeraj Chopra's Mother

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to golden boy Neeraj Chopra's mother, Saroj Devi, thanking her for the "Churma" she made.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to golden boy Neeraj Chopra 's mor, Saroj Devi, thanking her for "Churma" she me that her son promised to give it to him following culmination of Paris Olympics 2024. "Aaj is churma ko khane k ba aapko patra likhne se khud ko rok na saka (After consuming churma I could not stop myself from writing this letter to you)’, PM Modi wrote in his letter dressed to Saroja Devi.

"Respectful greetings! I hope you are healthy, safe, and happy. Yesterday, at banquet held on occasion of Jamaican Prime Minister's visit to India, I h opportunity to meet bror Neeraj. My joy increased during our discussions when he gave me delicious churma me by you," Modi wrote in his letter. "After eating this churma today, I couldn't stop myself from writing to you. Bror Neeraj often talks to me about this churma, but today, after tasting it, I became emotional. This gift, filled with your immense love and warmth, reminded me of my mor."

PM Modi expressed that it was quite special to receive treat just before Navratri festival, a time of devotion in Hindu culture.

"During se 9 days of Navratri , I fast. In a way, your churma has become my main sustenance before my fast. Just as food you prepare gives bror Neeraj energy to win medals for country, this churma will give me strength to serve nation for next 9 days," he noted.

"On occasion of Navratri festival of strength, I assure you and all mors across country that I will continue to work tirelessly with even more dedication to realize vision of a developed India," it concludes.

Neeraj Chopra won Gold medal in Tokyo Olympics . Following that he went on to win World Championship of Javelin as well. He is a Diamond League champion too. Chopra aimed to repeat Tokyo Olympics heroics in Paris 2024 but this time he h to settle for a Silver medal.
