Republic Kannada Impact ensures para athlete gets money to participate - he now wins gold for India

On November 6th, Republic Kannada featured the inspiring journey of Ramesh Jadhav, a para-athlete facing financial challenges hindering his participation in international events. The broadcast highlighted his need for INR 1.5 lakh to register and compete in a para event, scheduled to be held in Thailand. 

Republic's International Impact

In a remarkable turn of events, after airing the story, viewers generously contributed almost INR 1.8 lakh within 24 hours, surpassing the required amount and enabling Ramesh Jadhav to participate in the 2023 World Ability-Sport Games, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

R Kannada diligently tracked Ramesh Jadhav's progress and ensured that the funds collected through Republic Media Network's help enabled him to travel from his village in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, to Bengaluru and then onward to Thailand for the competition. 

With the financial support garnered through the Republic Kannada BIG IMPACT show, Ramesh Jadhav successfully participated in the para-athletic event. The positive outcome of this collective effort was evident as Ramesh emerged triumphant, securing a gold medal in javelin for India at the prestigious competition.
