Anurag Thakur hails India for 1st ever medal in Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship
Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has hailed the Indian team for their historic bronze medal-winning performance at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship 2023.

Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India Anurag Thakur took to his official Twitter handle on Monday to congratulate Indian badminton team for ir historic feat. India finished third behind China and South Korea in recently concluded Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship 2023 and won ir first-ever medal in competition. Indian team shared final podium places alongside Thailand, who also won silver medal.
Meanwhile, congratulating Indian team for bronze medal, Sports Minister Thakur mentioned that it was an amazing performance by Indian team. He also hailed m for securing a spot in upcoming Sudirman Cup 2023. India failed to advance into summit clash and was denied a chance at winning gold or silver medal after losing to China in semis.

India's historic campaign at Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship 2023
India was placed alongside Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and UAE in Group B during league st of tournament. Team India finished league st with three wins in three games and stormed into kckout st. y earned a 3-2 victory over Hong Kong in quarter-final, fixing a clash against Chinese team in semi-final and securing a medal.

However, a 2-3 defeat against China led to India’s exit from tournament. Despite loss, India will be happy for earning ir first medal at tournament. Here’s a look at India’s full squad that traveled to UAE for prestigious tournament.
