Manasi Joshi clinched her first gold at BWF World Para-Bminton Championship in 2019 and her success is being celebrated by netizens of Nation. Prime Minister of India along with Kiran Bedi, Tapsee Pannu and ors congratulated Manasi Joshi. On August 24, Joshi won her first gold by defeating Parul Parmer in women's singles. Her victory came just a day before PV Sindhu won World Championship. Manasi Joshi h faced same opponent, Parul Parmer, thrice and lost. But Manasi's perseverance finally paid off this year.

Wishes pour in for Manasi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 130 crore Indians are proud of Manasi's along with or 12 medals bagged by Indian players at Para-Bminton World Championships 2019.

Tapsee Pannu, celebrated Manasi by urging people to “t forget this gold”.
Kiran Bedi also mitted that “in high of PV Sindhu, we forgot to wish Manasi”.

Manasi's inspirational story
Manasi was hit by a truck at a busy junction when she lost her left leg in an accident in 2011. She suffered multiple injuries and broke her arms as well. Manasi was rushed to hospital and took nearly 10 hours to make it to operation ater. After a 12-hour long surgery, she woke up to find out that she was left with an amputated leg due to gangrene. However, unfortunate incident did t stop her from competing; she learned to walk with a prostic limb in 2012 and after four months of learning, Manasi participated in many inter-company bminton championships. Her spirit never let her lose hope and she decided to turn pro in 2014. With her continuous hard work and struggle, she went on to achieve her dream at 2019 Para- BWF World Championships.
