Reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marin advanced to the final of Yonex Thailand Open – a BWF Super 1000 event on Saturday in Bangkok, Thailand.

The No.5 seeded Spaniard beat seventh seed - Korean young talent An Se Young in two games 21-18, 21-16 after 51 minutes battle in the court.

Malaysian men's double pair Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong were through to the final after beating Indonesian pair Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin in two games 21-19, 21-10.

Fifth seeded Indonesian pair Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu beat third seeded Korean pair Lee So Heee and Shin Seung Chan in three games, 15-21, 21-15, 21-16 in the semi-finals, marching to the finals of women's doubles on Sunday.

Second seeded Praveen Jordan and Melati Daeva Oktavianti of Indonesia also advanced to the finals after winning the semi-finals against French pair Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue, 21-16, 23-21.

They will face top seeded Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai who were through to the final after beating fourth seeded Korean pair Seo Seung Jae and Chae Yujung in the semi-finals, 17-21, 21-17, 22-20.
