H S Prannoy has apologized to the BAI for his scathing attack on the national federation after it did not recommend him for the Arjuna Award

India shuttler H S Prany has apologised to Bminton Association of India (BAI) for his scathing attack on national federation after it did t recommend him for Arjuna Award, days after he was show-caused for outburst. Prany was eventually recommended for award by national coach Pullela Gopichand in his capacity as a former Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna recipient. world number 28 apologised to BAI after governing body show caused him for his outburst on social media and also highlighted some past disciplinary issues involving him.

BAI president Himanta Biswa Sarma has accepted his apology and general secretary Ajay Singhania hoped incident won't be repeated.

"It was unfortunate to witness something like this but Prany h reached out to us and based on his submission, we hope going forward players will reach out to federation if y have any concern," Singhania said in a statement on Tuesday.
On June 2, BAI h recommended Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty and Sameer Verma for Arjuna award, leaving out Prany which prompted shuttler to express his displeasure on social media.

governing body was t happy with Prany and his teammate Kidambi Srikanth for t playing semifinal of Asian Team Championship at Manila in February and inste leaving for Barcelona to compete in ar event. India h lost semifinal but finished third in competition. BAI recommended Srikanth for Khel Ratna award last week after top Indian shuttler apologised for pulling out of tournament midway.
