PV Sindhu avenges loss to World No 2 Nozomi Okuhara; storms into semifinals of Indonesia Open

India's top shuttler stormed into the semifinals of the Indonesia Open after beating Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in straight games in the Women's singles event in Jakarta on Friday. 
Olympic silver medallist and current fifth seed, PV Sindhu, had her opponent on the mat as she comfortably defeated Okuhara 21-14, 21-7.
Sindhu wrapped up the game in 44 minutes, leaving her fans in awe, like always.

Okuhara had previously beaten Sindhu in the semifinal of the Singapore Open.

The Indian will be facing second seed Chen Yu Fei of China in the semi-final clash of the BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament. 
Sindhu has also been a World Championship medallist multiple times before, though she took a little time to get into the groove and once she broke away from 6-6, there was nothing holding the Hyderabad shuttler back.
Sindhu went forward by taking 4 consecutive points to move ahead by 10-6 and although Okuhara managed to score some points, the Indian went into the first break at 11-8.
After the break, Sindhu simply upped her game and kept widening the gap to take the first game 21-14.
Once the second game started, Sindhu was in even more control than the first set, she won the set in a one-sided manner, with hardly any resistance from the higher-seeded opponent.

On the other side of the pool, Japan's 22-year-old shuttler Akane Yamaguchi defeated Thailand's Nitchaon Jindapol 21-17, 21- 14; Tai Tzu Ying made it into the semi-finals after defeating Thailand's Rachanok Intanon 21-18, 16-21 and 21-12. Yamaguchi and Ying will fight for a place in the finals of the Indonesia Open.
