PV Sindhu crashed out of the French Open 2019 after losing her quarter-final match against Taiwan's Tai Tzu Ying 16-21, 26-24, 17-21 in 75 minutes

India's ace shuttler PV Sindhu crashed out of French Open 2019, after losing her quarter-final match against Taiwan's Tai Tzu Ying. Ying beat Sindhu 16-21, 26-24, 17-21 in match that lasted for an hour and fifteen minutes. Although Sindhu lost first game of match, she leveled match after winning second game. However, despite fighting tooth and nail Sindhu could t win third game.

Singles kcked out

With Sindhu's exit, India lost a chance of winning singles title after star shuttlers Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth and Parupalli Kashyap were all kcked out of competition.

Saina Nehwal lost her quarterfinals match against South Korea's An Se Young 20-22, 21-23 in just 49 minutes, making it second casualty for an Indian shuttler against 17-year old player after she kcked out Sindhu in Denmark Open earlier this month.

In men's category, Srikanth lost to second seed Chou Tien Che 15-21, 21-7, 21-14 in first round. Kashyap, on or hand, had lost to Ng Ka Long Angus 11-21, 9-21. 

However, men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty has been providing some cheers to Indians as y reached semifinals of tournament after defeating Danish pair of Kim Astrup and Anders Rasmussen. pair will play fifth seeds Hiroyuki Endo and Yuta Watanabe in semifinals on Saturday.

Sindhu, in August, first Indian shuttler to win a gold in  BWF World Championships after winning silver and bronze medals on previous occasions. world . 6 has previously won Olympics silver medals and a gold medal at  Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and a silver at  Asian Games in Jakarta.
