PV Sindhu: Indian badminton needs more high-level qualified coaches

P.V Sindhu on Tuesday said that it is essential that the coaches at the highest level in badminton be more qualified in order to create more world champions

World Champion P.V Sindhu on Tuesday said that it is essential that coaches at highest level in bminton to be more qualified for job in order to create more champions. She also mentioned about her longtime training under Dronacharya awardee Pullela Gopichand and said that re are coaches from abro as well to help but qualified national coaches can help train more players better.

 "Gopi Sir himself has been a great player and a great coach. re are or coaches w from abro. y have been of lot of help. But national coaches need to be much qualified, n definitely y can train more players and y will become champions.  re needs to be high level coaches, where y need to kw everything about bminton to create a champion," 

She also emphasised on fact that coaches are very important and stated "Coaches role also has been important. My first coach was Mehboob Ali and n I have been under Gopi sir since I was 10. In bminton, you need to have a strong mindset." National coach Pullela Gopichand h also recently said that India has t "invested eugh in coaches".

ding to her statements, ace shuttler spoke about her improvements in defensive skills with help of Korean coach Kim Ji Hyun, who has trained her for last couple of months. result was for everyone to see when she clinched gold at recently-concluded BWF World Championships, becoming first Indian shuttler to do so. Sindhu furr stated that she is enjoying every bit of much-deserved fanfare she is getting and realizes she has been marked by her opponents w and pressure has increased. She asserted that she has to find a new strategy every time she goes to court ding that Olympics is still one year away. She will be flying to Changzhou soon to take part in China Open which begins on September 17 and n she will be playing in Korea Open World Tour Super 500 starting from September 24.

World Champion PV Sindhu has alrey set her sight firmly on 2020 Tokyo Olympics and believes that preparation for big event has alrey begun. BWF World Champion on sidelines of PNB MetLife Junior Bminton tournament laid out her romap for upcoming Olympics and detailed on her mission seeking a Gold medal for India in bminton. She also said tournaments were a boost for her confidence. PV Sindhu said that she was t particularly worried about ranking as she was winning Super Series and or tournaments which ensured that she grew in terms of ranking.
