We all kw that Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu are two ace Indian Bminton players, who are amongst most celebrated sportspersons in world. In interest of running a comparison between on-court performances of two players, Republic World will pit statistics of shuttlers to devise a win-ratio that determines who has won more matches in comparison, as well as an absolute win comparison. While Nehwal is five years older to Sindhu, both ace bminton stars have trained under legend Pullela Gopichand.  While sourcing data for comparison from Bminton World Federation (BWF), an analysis will be run across performances of two players in three formats: singles, mixed doubles and doubles.

Saina Nehwal's Career 

Saina Nehwal was  first Indian bminton player to rank number one in world, as per  BWF. Nehwal was born on 17th March 1990 in Hisar District. Her parents are Harvir Singh Nehwal and Usha Nehwal. Saina Nehwal has often spoken about family support that she enjoys which propels her on-court performances. Nehwal has been a huge inspiration for youth of India, especially women wanting to make ir mark in a career in sports.

Saina Nehwal has played 612 matches in bminton singles, at time of publishing. Out of se, she has won 427 matches. Nehwal has also played 27 doubles matches in her career, out of which she has won five matches. In dition, in her three mixed matches, Nehwal has been on winning side twice. Packed with an impressive record, Nehwal has 23 international titles to her name.

PV Sindhu's Career 

Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, or better kwn as PV Sindhu, is an Indian professional bminton player who has been making global helines for her on-court skills. Sindhu is only Indian to win gold at BWF Championship-- a feat she accomplished in August 2019. Sindhu was born on July 5, 1995, in Hyderab to P. V. Ramana and P. Vijaya. She has been in top 10 of world ranking for several years and has diligently worked under guidance of Gopichand.

At time of publishing, Sindhu has played 446 matches in bminton singles. Out of se, she has won 317 matches. In her doubles career, she has played 20 matches, out of which she came out on top in 10 matches. Sindhu also won her lone mixed doubles appearance. Given Sindhu's stellar win at BWF World Championship, many see Indian shuttler as unbeatable considering fact that she demolished her long-time on-court Japanese rival zomi Okuhara in straight sets in final of tournament. 

Who has won more matches? 

A neck-to-neck comparison throws up some interesting takeaways. Saina Nehwal has won a total of 434 matches in all formats of bminton out of a total of 642. PV Sindhu, on or hand, has won 338 matches out of total 467 matches in her career.  A winning ratio comparison of two players concludes that while Saina Nehwal has won 67.60% of her BWF matches, PV Sindhu has won 72.38% of same. refore, in terms of a wining ratio comparison PV Sindhu seems to be ahe in terms of her wins. However, in absolute terms, Nehwal, with her wealth of experience, has won 96 more matches than her contemporary Nehwal up to this point.
