Indian Men's Bminton Team created history by reaching final of Thomas Cup, courtesy of a 3-2 victory over Denmark in Thailand on Friday. HS Prany won pivotal fifth set against World . 13 Rasmus Gemke to break 2-2 tie and assist India in reaching ir maiden final in competition's history. Prany led India to final, where y will face 14-time champions Indonesia, after beating Gemke 13-21 21-9 21-12.

Indian contingent swarmed court to celebrate Prany's historic victory over Gemke as soon as he secured winning points. Members of Indian squ were seen running onto court to hug Prany after he defeated Gemke in final set, as shown in a video uploed by Sports Authority of India's official Twitter handle. One of Indian players was also seen holding tricolour to commemorate victory.

"Achievement Unlocked for India at #ThomasCup2022. And REACTION is priceless," Sports Authority of India (SAI) wrote on Twitter, where it also shared video of Indian players celebrating historic win. 

Netizens are showering praise on Indian men's bminton team for achieving historic milestone as India h never played in final of Thomas Cup before. Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and RCB's wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik are amongst those who have reacted to India's win on social media. Thomas Cup semi-final

match started with a clash between world championship bronze medallist Lakshya Sen and Viktor Axelsen. latter defeated Sen 21-13 21-13 to provide Denmark with an early le of 1-0. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty n came out on top and beat Danish pair of Astrup and Christiansen 21-18 21-23 22-20 to help India tie contest 1-1. Kidambi Srikanth n defeated Andres Antonsen to hand India a 2-1 le. 

Krishna Pras Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala, however, lost ir doubles match against Rasmussen and Frederik Sogaard to allow Denmark to make a comeback. It was n left to experienced Prany to secure a win for India. Prany beat Gemke despite suffering an injury on his right ankle early on in match. Prany lost his opening game but bounced back stronger to win next two sets.
