Yamaguchi beats An Se-young to win her first Malaysia Open title

It was the Japanese world champion's 5th win over the 20-year-old Korean in their 6th encounter at the finals of BWF World Tour events since 2020.

Number one seed Akane Yamaguchi came from a game down to beat second seed An Se-young to win BWF World Tour Super 1000 Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

It was Japanese world champion's 5th win over 20-year-old Korean in ir 6th encounter at finals of BWF World Tour events since 2020.

China won two titles through top seeds Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong in mixed doubles, as well as Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan in women's doubles.
