Bahrain Grand Prix to be held without any spectators amid Coronavirus scare

"As an F1 host nation, balancing welfare of supporters and racegoers is a tremendous responsibility. Given continued spre of Covid-19 globally, convening a major sporting event which is open to public and allows thousands of international travellers and local fans to interact in close proximity would t be right thing to do at present time. But to ensure that neir sport r its global supporter base, is unduly impacted, race weekend itself will still go ahe as a televised event."

Globally, many sporting events have been affected due to virus, with some events have closed doors for public, ors have been postponed or even cancelled.

A month ago, F1 anunced that Chinese Grand Prix has been postponed due to virus. epicentre of coronavirus is China. A statement re, "As a result of continued health concerns and with World Health Organisation declaring coronavirus as a global health emergency, FIA and Formula 1 have taken se measures in order to ensure health and safety of travelling staff, championship participants and fans, which remains of primary concern."
